Sathviga ‘Sona’ Sridhar, a 21-year-old artist from Chennai, India, was the winner of the contest in 2017. Sridhar was inspired to take action on climate change after her community was hit by devastating floods in 2015. But unfortunately, despite their engagement in the multilateral sphere, youth continue to exert little influence over decision making on sustainable development, the maintenance of peace and security, and human rights.
